Message: “Obedience Secures God’s Promise” from Matt Chapin

God's Unconditional Covenant With Abram

God's covenant with Abram (later Abraham) in Genesis is a foundational, unconditional promise initiated by God to bless Abram, make him a great nation, give his descendants the land of Canaan, and through him bless all peoples, with God alone taking responsibility for its fulfillment, symbolized by God passing through cut animal halves while Abram did not, signifying divine faithfulness independent of human performance, though obedience later became a sign of the covenant, culminating in spiritual blessings through Jesus.
