Gabriel Interprets the Vision
Our last two sermons in Daniel 8 have delt with the revealing of God's vision to Daniel, but this sermon deals with its interpretation. Daniel was a smart and gifted man, but even he needed help understanding God's prophetic word. So God sent His angel Gabriel to help Daniel understand the prominent kingdoms who would impact the Jewish people so they could be prepared for them.

The book of Daniel is monumental in its scope of importance to the revelation of God and his working in human history. It is also a book of practicality on how the righteous can not only live, but thrive, and endure in a pagan culture by God's help. Despite the tumultuous situation Daniel found himself in at an early age, the Lord was with him, working in the chaos to accomplish his purposes for Daniel, his people, and the nations.
