Kingdoms Come, Kingdoms Go
As we saw in Daniel's prayer last week, God is the one who is sovereign over all rulers and their kingdoms. "He changes the times and seasons, he removes kings and sets up kings (Dan. 2:21)." This Sunday we will begin to look at one of the most amazing prophecies in biblical prophecies that spells out in very specific detail the sequence of the rising and falling of Gentile powers, which culminates in Jesus' second coming to earth.

The book of Daniel is monumental in its scope of importance to the revelation of God and his working in human history. It is also a book of practicality on how the righteous can not only live, but thrive, and endure in a pagan culture by God's help. Despite the tumultuous situation Daniel found himself in at an early age, the Lord was with him, working in the chaos to accomplish his purposes for Daniel, his people, and the nations.
