The King's Troubling Dream

Daniel chapter 2 is quite an exciting chapter because it contains one the most important prophecies in all the Bible regarding the future kingdoms of the world. It was given to a pagan king in the form of a dream, and this Sunday we'll look at the king's reaction to his dream, which highlights the limitations of human wisdom, the emptiness of pagan religion, and we'll see Daniel's confidence that what was impossible with man was possible with God.

The book of Daniel is monumental in its scope of importance to the revelation of God and his working in human history. It is also a book of practicality on how the righteous can not only live, but thrive, and endure in a pagan culture by God's help.  Despite the tumultuous situation Daniel found himself in at an early age, the Lord was with him, working in the chaos to accomplish his purposes for Daniel, his people, and the nations.
