Caring for Widows in the Church, part 1
Throughout the Bible the Lord consistently looks after the widow, and he expects his followers to do the same. This means the church has some responsibility in helping widows, but Paul places certain guidelines on that. We hope you'll be able to join us as we look at how the church is to care for widows.

In 1 Timothy, "life in God's house" refers to the church as a spiritual family, where believers, led by elders who manage their own homes well, learn to behave with truth, respect, and godly order, upholding Scripture as the pillar of truth, and caring for each other like family—from supporting widows to treating all members with familial honor, creating a community that reflects Christ's character.
