A message from the series “The Gospel of John: That We May Believe.” The world’s hatred toward believers is a natural reaction to their identity in Christ. Because Christians are chosen out of the world’s system, they will inevitably face persecution. Jesus assures His followers that this hostility ultimately reflects a rejection of God, but promises the Holy Spirit to empower their testimony.
A message from the series “The Gospel of John: That We May Believe.” Come hear why Jesus needed to depart from the world and what the role of the Holy Spirit is in our lives as Christians.
A message from the series “The Gospel of John: That We May Believe.” Come learn more of the ways the Holy Spirit will help guide us into all truths.
A message from the series “Daniel: God\’s Rule Over All.” How would you respond to a foreign country capturing you, taking you to live in their country, and re-educating you to serve their king? How might that impact your view of God? Those are big questions, and we probably wouldn’t all respond in the same way.
This Sunday we’ll talk about Daniel and friends being taken off to Babylon and the requirements and challenges they faced to serve the king.
A message from the series “Daniel: God\’s Rule Over All.” The book of Daniel is monumental in its scope of importance to the revelation of God and his working in human history. It is also a book of practicality on how the righteous can not only live, but thrive, and endure in a pagan culture by God’s help. Despite the tumultuous situation Daniel found himself in at an early age, the Lord was with him, working in the chaos to accomplish his purposes for Daniel, his people, and the nations.
A message from the series “Special Sermons.” Jeremiah writes a letter to God’s people as they go into exile in Babylon, encouraging them to be productive, prayerful, discerning, and confident in spite of their present circumstances. We, too, must find our confidence in the Lord’s plan for our lives, discern what is right, be full of prayer, and be productive citizens of a new kingdom.
A message from the series “1 Timothy: Life in God\’s House.” As we have made our way through this letter, Paul has given a lot of commands and responsibilities to Timothy. Personally, I know if I receive a lot of commands at once, it can be hard to remember them. Maybe I’ll remember one or two. Well, in the closing of this letter, Paul boils all of what he’s said down to a couple of points, which are fundamentally, the core of what the ministry of the man of God is to be about, not only for his own edification but for the flock of his church.
A message from the series “1 Timothy: Life in God\’s House.” Bible teaches that all Christians are rich in God’s economy because of all the blessing they have in him. But this Sunday’s message is about Christians who are rich in this present age; those who have been materially blessed by God. How does He want them to handle their wealth?
We hope you’ll join us to see how God’s Word answers that question.
A message from the series “1 Timothy: Life in God\’s House.” In Isaiah 40:25 God says, “To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him?” The answer, of course, is NO ONE! No one compares to the greatest of our God. This Sunday we will talk about Jesus’ second coming, and a few of God’s divine attributes. Focusing our attention on these things provides great encouragement and hope to us, resulting in our worship of Him. May our hearts come ready to honor and worship the Lord our God this Sunday.
A message from the series “1 Timothy: Life in God\’s House.” This Sunday we will learn what it means to be a man of God. While the context speaks more directly to pastors, the characteristics of what makes for a man of God, can be applied to men and women outside the office of pastor, which when followed, glorify God, and make one a useful vessel in His hands.
