In 1 Thessalonians, Paul reminds believers that the Day of the Lord comes unexpectedly, like a thief in the night, bringing sudden destruction to the unprepared world, but Christians, as "children of light," must remain alert, sober, and prepared by wearing the armor of faith, love, and the hope of salvation, so they are not caught in darkness but await salvation through Christ, encouraging each other to build up in love as they anticipate His return.
